Connect Shopify to Mevrik

Connect your Shopify store so your AI agent can answer order, product and returns questions with live store data. You approve access in Shopify, with no API key.

Connect your Shopify store so your AI agent can answer order, product and returns questions with live store data. Mevrik exposes your Shopify data as tools your AI agents can call.

This guide covers the data connection. To add the chat widget to your storefront, see Install Mevrik Messenger on Shopify. Connecting your store once does both.

Before you start

You need:

  • A Shopify store and a staff account that can approve app access.
  • Your store's .myshopify.com address. Find it in Shopify Admin → Settings → Domains.
  • A Mevrik account with the Owner or Admin role. Other roles can see the card but can't connect.

Connect your store

  1. In Mevrik, go to Settings → Mevrik Connect.
  2. On the Shopify card, click Connect.
  3. In the Connect Shopify dialog, enter your Store domain, for example your-store.myshopify.com.
  4. Click Connect with Shopify. You're taken to Shopify to authorise the connection. You don't need an API key.
  5. Approve access in Shopify. You're brought back to Settings → Mevrik Connect, and you'll see "Shopify store connected."

If you type your store name without the ending, Mevrik adds .myshopify.com for you.

Confirm it works

On the Shopify card you should see:

  • A Connected badge and your store name.
  • A health badge. Active means the connection is healthy. Any other word, such as Pending, means the connection isn't fully working yet.

Click Configure to open the store details. It shows your store name and address, when it was Connected, when it was Last checked, the Granted permissions, and a View store button.

Disconnect

  1. On the Shopify card, click Configure.
  2. Click Disconnect. You'll see "Shopify disconnected."

Your AI agent can no longer use your store data.

Troubleshooting

"Enter a valid Shopify store (e.g. your-store.myshopify.com)." The address must be your .myshopify.com address, not your custom domain.

"Couldn't start Shopify connection. Please try again." Mevrik couldn't send you to Shopify. Try again in a moment.

"Couldn't connect Shopify store. Please try again." You came back from Shopify but the connection didn't complete. Try again.

"Shopify store is being set up — this can take a moment." The connection is still finishing. Check the card again shortly.

"Couldn't disconnect Shopify. Please try again." Try again in a moment.

The Connect button is greyed out You need the Owner or Admin role.
