Connect Instagram DMs to Mevrik
Connect your business Instagram account so your AI agent can answer direct messages, with every chat in your Mevrik inbox.

Connect your business Instagram account and your AI agent answers the direct messages (DMs) people send you.
Instagram DMs use the same Facebook sign-in as Messenger, so they share one card on the Channels page.
Before you start
You need:
- An Instagram Business or Creator account that is linked to a Facebook Page.
- A Facebook account that manages that Page.
- A Mevrik account with the Owner or Admin role. Other roles can see the page but can't connect.
Connect your Instagram account
- In Mevrik, go to Settings → Channels.
- In the Meta group, find the Messenger & Instagram DM card (its subtitle is One Facebook sign-in) and click Connect.
- A Facebook window opens. Sign in with the account that manages the linked Page and grant Mevrik the permissions it asks for.
- The Connect Facebook Pages dialog opens. Find the Instagram DM row for your account. It shows your Instagram handle, for example
@yourbusiness. Click Connect. - The button shows Connecting…, then Connected. Click Done.
If you don't see an Instagram DM row, the Page has no Instagram account that Mevrik can connect. Check the requirements above.
Confirm it works
- On the card, click the connected count.
- Your Instagram account appears with the Active badge.
- Send a DM to your account from another Instagram profile. The conversation appears in your inbox.
Reconnect
If your account shows Expiring soon, Token expired or Disconnected, click Reconnect and repeat the Facebook sign-in and Page list.
Disconnect
- Open the list on the card.
- Click Disconnect next to the Instagram account, then confirm. You'll see "Instagram disconnected".
Your AI agent stops answering Instagram DMs immediately. Existing conversations stay in your inbox. Disconnecting Instagram doesn't disconnect Messenger.
Troubleshooting
"No connectable channels found" The dialog says: "Make sure your Facebook account manages a Page, then try connecting again."
"Meta connection failed" The Facebook window was closed or the sign-in didn't finish. Click Connect and try again.
"Failed to start Meta connection" Try again in a moment.
"Couldn't load your Facebook Pages" Try again.
"Failed to connect page" Click Retry on the row. If the row shows its own message in red, follow what it says.
"Failed to disconnect Instagram" Try again in a moment.
